Voices From The Gramophone 2008 brings about another epic dedication to the 4 heavenly queens who reigned over the silver screen and theatrical stage in their prime during the Golden Era of the 30’s to 50’s. For 2 nights only, nearly 40 of the most unforgettable signature tunes by Zhou Xuan 周璇, Li Xiang Lan 李香兰, Bai Guang 白光 and Ge Lan 葛兰 will come alive again.
Along with accomplished artistes featured in last year’s concert, we have added several new performers this year to deliver the distinctive musical moods and vocal nuances of each singer and their songs. The line-up now includes Chen Jian Bing 陈建彬, Huang Wen Yong 黄文永, Ella Chen 陈影, Cui Xia 翠霞, Li Chuan 梨川, Tandy Lim 唐羚, Ling Ying 凌莺, Xian Hong 鲜红 and Celine Ye 叶真真.
