Chen Bao Zhu, veteran actress-singer-Cantonese opera actress, known to many as the 影迷公主and 学生情人,started her acting career as a kid star at the age of 7. She had acted in more than100 movies from the 60s to the late 70s before she left the show business to reside in USA.
Her movies 党军教练, 七彩胡不归, 彩色青春, 姑娘十八一朵花, 武林圣火, 莫负青春, 玉女添丁, 再世红梅记, and many more brought her fame and public recognition and established her high status in the show business. Her role in the movies黑玫瑰 and 女杀手had been widely recognized and well-liked by many of her fans worldwide .
Besides movie acting and releasing numerous albums, she is also known for her many Cantonese opera roles as a 小生on stage. Her comeback opera musical 剑雪浮生 in 1998 was a big hit and success bringing her fame to a higher ground.
This concert marks Chen’s first concert in Singapore, reminiscing many of her hit movie and album songs, Chen will impress the audience with her Cantonese Opera items as the finale.
Chen is accompanied by her guest artistes Dexter Young and Feng Su Bo. Her music arrangements are tailored by the renowned music director Anthony Lun. All her other crews, engineers and dancers are all from Hong Kong.
